I wanted to give you a rundown of a few more changes on HonorBound.
Pension & Survivor (DIC) estimator — more accurate
- We tightened the Pension & Survivor Benefits estimator to follow the VA's rules more precisely: the medical-expense deduction, how Aid & Attendance and Housebound interact with DIC, monthly rounding, and the net-worth limit. The bottom-line numbers now line up with the VA's own published examples.
Expanded Wellness & Mental Health resources
- The Resources page now has a fuller, better-organized Wellness & Mental Health section, grouped by topic — Crisis (Veterans Crisis Line, dial 988, press 1), PTSD (VA National Center for PTSD, PTSD Coach), Military Sexual Trauma (VA MST resources, DoD Safe Helpline), Spiritual & chaplain support (VA Chaplain Service), and Peer support & counseling (Vet Centers, Mission 22, Objective Zero, and more).
