A community for U.S. military Veterans to find each other, share experience, and reconnect with people they served with.

Why this exists

The hardest part of leaving the military isn't just losing the daily camaraderie; it's losing the trusted ecosystem where information was shared straightforwardly and without an agenda. In the civilian world, finding clear, honest resources for Veterans means navigating a maze of corporate ad trackers, predatory claims groups, and confusing regulations.

Honor Bound LLC exists to bridge that gap. We provide a secure, ad-free sanctuary where Veterans can cut through the noise, access clear regulatory education, and share knowledge with absolute confidence. It is a private space built not to mine your data, but to hold the line for the resources and honor you earned.

Who runs it

Honor Bound LLC. is operated by Veterans, in Connecticut not for profit corporation, built and maintained by Veterans on a volunteer basis. We don't run ads. We don't sell data. We don't take money. The site exists to serve the community, not to grow at any cost.

How verification works

Trust is the foundation of any Veteran community. We verify military service through VA records and admin review — no document uploads required in most cases:

  • VA status check — we use the VA's own verification system to confirm your service electronically. Fast, private, and no documents needed. Enter the name and address on file with the VA. (Coming Soon)
  • Admin review — while the VA check is in the process of being approved, the Admin will message you to verify your status. Most applicants are reviewed within a few days.

Verified members get a green checkmark on their profile and access to verified-only forum boards and direct messaging.

Privacy by default

Honor Bound LLC. is built privacy-first:

  • Profiles default to visible to verified Veterans only — not the open internet
  • Real names are private by default, with a per-profile toggle to share
  • Location is state-level by default; sharing your city is opt-in
  • You can hide your profile from the directory entirely
  • We use Google Analytics to measure site traffic — we do not use advertising trackers, social-media plugins, or embedded third-party widgets
  • Social sharing links are available on forum posts but only activate if you choose to click them
  • Verification documents are deleted after review

Build your service profile with branch, era, MOS/rate, deployments, and a full ribbon rack — over 245 medals displayed in official precedence order.

Radio Silence Veterans Only

A space to share your thoughts without names, ranks, or judgment. Fully anonymous — only verified Veterans can read and reply.

Stand Down Chapter Veterans Only

A solemn space to honor our fallen brothers and sisters. Submit a memorial, leave a tribute, and ensure no one is forgotten.

Every verified Veteran gets a personal invite link. Bring someone you served with — the community grows one trusted referral at a time.
