A quick rundown of what's changed on Honor Bound recently.
Join as a Member, not just a Verified Veteran
- Account approval used to be all-or-nothing — everyone approved became a Verified Veteran. Now we can approve an email-verified Member with limited access. That opens the door for family, supporters, and others who aren't Veterans but want to take part, without diluting Veteran verification.
Verification status page
- Verified Veterans who clicked the Verification link were getting bounced back to the home page. Fixed — you now get a proper status page showing that you're verified and the date it happened.
Login & registration security
- Added a Cloudflare Turnstile check to the login and registration pages — a privacy-respecting bot filter (no puzzles, no tracking) to keep automated signups out.
Write to your Rep
- On the Legislation page, you can now look up your Senators and House Representative and get a pre-filled, editable letter about any bill you're following — then copy it and head straight to their official contact page.
Coming soon (in testing, not live yet)
- Instant Veteran verification through the VA — verify automatically through the VA's official system, no waiting on manual review and no SSN required. In final approval with the VA.
As always — no ads, no data sales, no gamification.
